Lyneart Designs

Each piece of Lyneart jewellery is to me a small sculpture which perhaps salutes my original training and study as a fine artist specialising in Abstract Sculpture and Painting at USQ (Toowoomba – 1990s). Since then I have trained as a hairdresser who spent the 90s specialising in long hair work and as a colourist who did stage work for Goldwell and Schwarzkopf. During this time I developed a passion for adorning the body and photography working with a range of fashion photographers and Intercoiffure salons. During the noughties I returned to study and became a secondary school teacher in the Arts (visual), English, History and Psychology. I am currently a full-time teacher, school coordinator and more importantly mother of two beautiful and inspiring daughters. Lyneart Designs is a passion project where I can honour all aspects of myself and my world through art. My work is quite linear and I often think of it as drawing or stitching in wire. I integrate semi - precious stones, gorgeous glass, wood, as well as other interesting medium (truly it depends on what morsel of deliciousness I have found that day, week or month).
