Maeghan Jamea

Maeghan Jamea Henry was born in 1984 and raised in Southern California’s Inland Empire region. She is a recent graduate of the Photography and Imaging program at the Art Center College of Design. Her documentary-based work focuses mainly on the social environments of African-American youth in and around Los Angeles. Whether at a club, house party or family gathering, she attempts to draw attention to the often overlooked and sometimes misunderstood social dynamics of the African-American community. Henry currently resides in Pasadena, CA, where she is freelancing and continuing work on a long-term project.
