Visual Art – Minneapolis

From an early age, I was encouraged to channel an overactive mind through creative outlets by a family of architects, painters, and skilled craftsmen. I knew at some point in life my artwork would manifest into something tangible. It was through trial and error of sculpture, painting, and multiple art classes that my true passion for acrylic paints on canvas manifested. *****
My intention is striving to create pieces full of landscape, texture, and color that evoke a sense of presence and awareness. Painting provides my mind a place to rest, reflect, excite, and even calm the inner voices and outward noises. ***** My work has been showcased in group and solo exhibits, gallery spaces, and local businesses throughout the Twin Cities. I've sold commissioned and original artwork pieces locally since 2008 when my abstract art journey began. The next piece of the puzzle is to create custom pieces to be shipped and showcased internationally, and recreate a new brand for my business.
After obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Interior Design, painting allowed for a creative outlet during many struggles trying to enter the corporate world. The years of formal art and design education greatly influence an awareness of scale, form, shape, color, and the potential environment that could be made home for each piece. *****
I'm currently working out of my home studio in Northeast Minneapolis, and continue to paint original abstract pieces of work to feed an obsession with color and texture. I aspire to share and create one of a kind paintings that provide a moment in time of awareness, presence, and a place to rest the mind of the viewer.
