Visual Art – Dallas - Fort Worth
Matthew \"M@!\" Martinez is a visual artist based in Dallas, Texas and is interested in reaching all aspects of the artistic community. Matthew, or \"m@!\" is a self titled \"arbitrist\", with a varying style that borders modern pop-art and urban or “street” art. His artwork is informed by his surroundings and usually features attributes of Dallas, of Texas, and of contemporary issues. He has been involved in multiple exhibits, and is a primary driving force behind several shows in and around DFW. He has had two projects with Old Navy; a mural within the Park Lane Old Navy located in Dallas, as well as a back drop for business opportunities and growth in Dallas, which was exhibited in Chicago and is currently on display at the Gap Corporate Office. He has recently completed two murals in the Bishop Arts District located in Oak Cliff. One on the outside of The Davis Foundry Gallery, and the other on the Law Offices of James Vasillas. His interests within the art community extend from private profit shows, charity events, artistic communications, community improvement and beautification efforts, as well as connecting the art to its audience in every avenue available. At 23, Matthew Martinez is a promising young artist and a advocate for the arts.
