Art has always been an outlet for me. It’s how I work through life. My personal experiences during my most heightened emotional states have become the main tool. The wood serves as a reflection of me, my body and the pencil, my soul. Using simple tools allows an atmosphere devoid of distractions where truth and the process of letting go creates awareness, understanding and strength in my own skin to move forward. Breaking my own mold and boundaries to share my personal life on wood, rather than in the journals I’ve filled up over the years was and continues to be my way of communicating and staying connected to the lives and stories of the creatures I meet along my adventures. It was never the intent, rather a therapy for myself. My emotional truth has set me free, my hope is that it does the same for you.
