Photography – Tucson

A lot of people ask me in my job, "What kind of photography do you do?" My answer is always, "What don't I do?" Unfortunately, I do not do what I love as a regular job. After I graduated college at The Art Center Design College in August of 2010, there were not a lot of positions in my field readily available. So, I did what I do best, I scavenge. I do everything that you would want me to do, whether it be celebrations, family portraits, weddings, band photos, or everyday life. After college, I had to take a job that was flexible enough for me to do what I am best at, (photography, or what I'd like to think I am best at..), as well as something that could help me pay off the gargantuan amount of loans that are in my name. So, I do what I can. "All I know that in my life, holding that camera in my hand makes me feel complete." People also ask me why I chose such a flamboyant field to try and make my living in. I laugh and ask them, why not? Photography is something that cannot just be expressed in physical form. It is about a moment in time that you will never get back. Sure, a great photograph is something to cherish, but in reality it is that 'moment' in time captured simply by collections of pixels. It's about the feelings, gestures, people that you're with, expressions, and all sort of emotions that are tied by that one photo. Something gave me this ability to create. And so, this is what I do. I create moments that last forever.
