Visual Art – Madison

Primarily creating sculptural pieces my art deals with religion, mortality, femininity, and unavoidable human error. I love working with architectural ornamentation and patterns, as well as designs that form naturally such as those seen in microscopic images of cells. Transforming materials through painstaking traditional craft techniques and communicating through colors are the emotional elements of my art. Through my craft I represent the underlining feelings resulting from that intellectual exploration that guides my subject mater. Through this analytical and emotional making my art becomes both the way I understand myself and how I unravel the motivation force behind traditions, religious beliefs, and the habits that dictate behavior.
