Moka Young is a fresh faced Hip Hop and Soul artist on the cusp of great things. Having grown from a Tweed Coast teenager with a dream into an artist with a career path laid before him, it is uncommon to see a relatively new artist garner themselves such a strong reputation as a truly professional act of authentic music, and engaging live performances.
Having already signed a distribution deal with Obese records for his debut release Young ’N’ Restless’; (Sept 2013) it’s evident Moka is a cut above the standard of debut acts. His professionalism is laid bare with a slickly produced 7 track EP featuring a collaborations with emerging US artist “Wideframe’, and production sheen by Horace “ The Beatsmith”. The first single “New Blud”has been quickly popularised on social media with an equally slick film clip for the opening track.
As a live act, Moka and his energetic 4 piece group are equally delivering. Having acquired the attention of venue owners and booking agents in his Gold Coast hometown region, they have managed to secure opening slots for US act Bone Thugs n Harmony, as well as invitations to share stages with current popular Australian JJJ acts.
