N.E.H.S.

My art started at school in the third grade. Comic books were my first true love and muse that inspired me to draw and to understand the structure of the human anatomy. Drawing stayed with me until my sophomore year of college when I believe I truly picked up the paint brush with a purpose for the first time. Since then I have experimented with many mediums on top of canvas, abandoned \"dumpster dived\" doors from apartment complexes, cardboard pieces and even clothing including but not limited to tee-shirts and high heels. Art and I are in the midst of an epic love story. You can say I am caught in the middle of a love triangle between reality, myself , and art. I dedicate my art to Jesus Christ because He is the one that evokes my spirit to create. Life is my journey, the Bible is my compass, and my paintbrush is my staff. My life philosophy helps in explaining what the artist name \"N.E.H.S.\" actually means. \" N.E.H.S. \" stands for \"No Eye Has Seen\". And it is derived from the scripture 1 Corithians 2:9 in the bible that states... \"No eye has seen, no ear has heard and, no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those that love him.\" *New Living translation version* I have been entrusted with the gift of art making to help the nations understand the truest love that Jesus Christ our Lord has for us.
