Onward Creations

Jared Blake Lazar is a Southern California based artist, surfer, masticator. He grew up with a mother who had a keen interest in crafts and sculpture. He was always given the opportunity to create growing up. At a very young age Jared started to recreate the cartoon icons he grew up with every Saturday Morning. He would tirelessly doodle on anything he would get his hands on; school materials, stray stationary, notebooks, and at one time, the neighbor’s dog. In his teens he was constantly found painting his friends skateboards and surfboards. This included anything from ocean waves to hand painted typography with a true focus on impeccable line work. Onward to greater things… Onward has been his motto, muse, make, mantra and moniker for anything he has created with his hands since 1997. He chose Onward because he saw it as consistent and positive forward motion. It is the notion that we often forget for every low point there is a fantastically high point to come. It sits as a steadfast reminder to always look ahead and remain open to new ideas.
