Rachel Forbes

I come from a non-traditional artistic background. Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, I studied painting at school for four years before giving it up for love, adventure and to travel the world. Five years and three continents later I have rediscovered art. I alternate between acrylic, oil and mixed media techniques on canvas; My style leans towards abstract/impressionist, with heavy use of texture and impasto effects. I moved to Los Angeles three years ago and live in fabulous West Hollywood with two cats and a punk rocker roommate named Fred.
