Pookie began his DJ career as a child using tape decks to create mixes, finding peace and joy absent in other aspects of his life through music. At age 18, he got his first set of decks and he hasn’t stopped since. With little in the way of a musical background, Pookie has established himself as versatile and professional DJ, performing along with the likes of Masta Killa of Wu-Tang, Tech N9NE, Dead Prez and other heavy-hitters in Hip-Hop, as well as sharing the bill with Stooki Sound, UZ, Stylus Beats, Slander, Mt. Eden and many other prominent names in the growing electronic scene. You can currently find Pookie in the studio ‘long-side his main man Dr!nk producing and crafting super-dope beats and tracks for the true heads, as well as performing virtually nightly on the ones and twos from Salt Lake City to Ogden.
