Quency John Gordon was born March 5, 1993 in Panama City, Panama. As a child, he always loved music. He played the snare drums, piano, and viola. His true passion was found during his senior year at J.P. Taravella High School, after watching the first season of America's Best Dance Crew. In 2011, Quency graduated high school and decided that he wanted to explore his interest in dance. Quency began to take Hip-Hop classes at Dance FX Studio in Sunrise, Fl, under the direction of Miraj Lawson. That same year he began his college Journey at Johnson & Wales University in North Miami, Fl. There he joined his first dance crew, Ladies Favorites. Ladies Favorites performed at several on-campus and off-campus events such as, JWU Fahrenheit Model Release Party, Miami Fashion Board's Global Glam Fashion Show, and Univeristy of Miami's Kappa Alpha Psi Sweetheart Night. In 2012, Quency booked his first professional performance with Nickelodeon Latin America. He danced along side Latin Artist Prince Royce in the hit TV show "11' 11' En Mi Cuadra Nada Cuadra". Later that year, Quency furthered his training at U4ria Dance Studio in Coral Springs, Fl. Soon after, he auditioned for U4ria's traveling dance company and performed at World of Dance Orlando. In 2013, Quency competed with U4ria at World of Dance Chicago and won 3rd place. The rush of Adrenaline from competing drove Quency to continue. In 2014, Quency competed with U4ria at World of Dance Orlando and brought home a 1st Place trophy. But that wasn't enough! A week after, he competed at Prelude Urban Dance Competition in Washington D.C. and brought home yet another 1st Place trophy. From there, Quency decided he wanted to share his love of dance with the younger generation of dancers. He became the Hip Hop Instructor at MAD Dance North Miami and lead his students to compete at Access Broadway Talent Competition and On Stage America Talent Competition. Now, Quency is focused on honing his craft and diving deeper into the Commercial dance industry. Quency's dream of becoming a Professional Dancer has been his fuel throughout his journey and he hopes to inspire other to never give up on their dreams. Quency believes that with hard-work and faith, anything is possible. Quency is living proof of that!
