Fashion – Atlanta
Raquel Reed is a Atlanta-based fashion designer
who brings a new innovativeness twist of modern day classic dressing for worldly women
on the go. Her namesake collection, RAQUEL (founded in 2005), grew out of vision in her
younger days of creating clothes for herself. The foundation inspiration if her brand derives
from the Victorian Period. The collection’s use of innovative fabrics – including use of an array
different textures of fabrics. RAQUEL is great for her mixture of different fabric texture. As a result
of these pioneering efforts, she gained the prestigious photo shoot with Atlanta-based fashion/culture
Upscale Magazine.
The collections are created solely of thoughts that transpire thru her mind. Raquel once said that her clothes she designs are like her children. “The first stage of the development is the vision; then creating the blue print and giving birth to my babies is the vision coming to life”.
Prior to really starting up her business her company, she worked as the Fashion Director for Grip Magazine.
