Rebecca Cobbing is a couturier and milliner hailing from Brisbane. She specialises in avant-garde bridal couture, designing & constructing each garment or headpiece in her Ascot studio.
She is renowned for her fishtail gowns, corseted bodices and over the top headpieces. Well versed in European couture techniques and old world millinery skills Rebecca Cobbing\'s creations as individual as the client she designs for.
Rebecca showcased a sample of her couture work and millinery from her and her design partner\'s Belle Folie design studio.
Belle Folie opened in July and specialises in millinery, jewellery and couture for bridal, formal and race. Belle Folie will be launching a new Bespoke Bridal headpiece collection that will be stocked in bridal stores around Australia in 2014.
2014/15 is already looking very busy with bridal commissions after Rebecca was placed as runner up in the Queensland Brides Design Awards - avant-garde category this year.
\"Its great to be recognised along side some of Australia\'s best in bridal.\" This award has cemented her place as contender and a force to be recognised with in the Australian Fashion industry.
Over the last ten years Rebecca\'s designs have been seen on the red carpet of the Logies, showcased at Melbourne Fashion Week and shown with the likes of Alex Perry & Bora.
Rebecca still hand makes everything, starting with the illustration, she then pattern makes, cuts and sew\'s and embellishes every dress with love.
