Talon (Rick Gonyo)

Rick Gonyo was born and raised in upstate New York, taking an atypical path towards his passion for design. He spent many years working in space planning and facilities management. During a major change in his life at age 60 he started to hone and develop his skills as a costumer specializing in Asian period garb. He has carried that specialty over into his expansion into modern fashion where he loves to design garments with an artistic bent that incorporate eastern and western influences. Rick’s creations have been featured in numerous shows, photo shoots and charity events. Rick has shown during Austin Fashion Week, designed costumes for Heritage School of Ballet of Dallas and created pieces for fundraisers for scholarships and Breast Cancer. He was the 2013 recipient of the Butterfly Entertainment Award for Most Inspiring Member of the Austin Fashion Community. In 2014, he launched his fashion brand Elrick.
