Rooster

Christopher \"Rooster\" Martinez. Born 10/24/1983 Poet/writer Family originally from west side San Antonio. Rooster traveled in tow w/ family as his father served in the armed forces. Rooster wrote and created music for most of his life in transit. At 22, he moved back to San Antonio where he completed college and has lived ever since. He toyed with spoken word and freestyle rapping for many years; but, he landed on the puro slam s.a. stage in 2010. *He made the 2011 and 2012 puro slam nationals teams, co-founded the Blahblahblah poetry spot, and has been featured at many different venues, events, and colleges. *Writer of 2 1/2 chapbooks (cHiCKen sKrATcH; Selling Out is the New Keeping It Real); Worked in conjuction with the publication of the poetry slam book- Puro Slam: The Movie.
