Sara Jayne Burke

I am the Creative Director at La Bimbi hair in Canberra. I live and breathe hairdressing (maybe not the hairspray, I hear its dangerous to inhale). I have been hairdressing for 6 magical years and have no intention of stopping any time soon. Hair dressing inspires me, excites me, it is the spring in my step and the smile on my face. It gives me goosebumps, butterflies and a reason to get out of bed in the morning! I recently packed my bags and worked in London for 6 months, it was the hair-venture of a life time! I have been lucky enough to experience Paris fashion week, play on stage and present at Hair Expo 2013, 2012, direct hair for Jayson Brunsdon, Avant Garden, and collaborated with many local Canberra talent! I have picked up a few awards along the way, but to be honest competitions are just an excuse for my to play dress ups and get my hands dirty to bring the images in my head to life. My greatest passion is session styling. I love working with a team and collaborating to come up with an image. I have a complete lust for the industry I work in and attempt to seek and soak every opportunity available to live out the hair-brained ideas floating in my head.
