Sissy Fremin

Native of New Orleans, westbank area, currently a resident of Metairie. I am a mother and grandmother and very close to my little family. I have been sketching, painting, creating art for over 40 years. Recently I began to create my work on antique roofing slate and have enjoyed the outcome. I have a fascination for the cypress and love painting them. I\'ve also done flowers, fleur de lis, and some New Orleans scenes. In the past, I have completed many canvas pieces, to include some \"Rasta Art\". A lot of what I have done has been sold or given away to friends. Last year, I donated two slate pieces to the WYES Art Auction 12, one of which auctioned for $200. That was a proud moment for me.
