Photography – Denver

Sam Nguyen was raised in Amarillo, Texas and currently resides in Denver, Colorado. He holds a BFA in Photography from the University of Colorado and an AAS in Graphic Design. He specializes in fashion photography; collaborating with designers, and also capturing moments in event photography. Sam’s current body of work, the Sartorial series, utilizes historic photographic processes that feature contemporary fashion trends, exploring fashion’s cyclical nature vis-à-vis traditional portraiture. Sam’s work has appeared in traveling exhibitions such as the 16x16x16 Show, which toured nationally at universities such as the University of Nebraska, Michigan, and the University of Colorado. He was featured in the STUDENTS at WORK exhibition at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown in Denver and in The HAND Magazine's Anniversary Issue #05. Nguyen has also exhibited works in galleries such as Hinterland Gallery, Proper Gallery, and Emmanuel Gallery. He recently received honorable mention in the One By One show at the Colorado Photographic Arts Center and is published in their One By One exhibition catalog.
