Stacia Major

Performing Art – Minneapolis

Stacia Major is a young performer specializing in modern, ballet and hoop dance, as well as hip-hop and belly dance. She is new to the Twin Cities as of September 2015. She recieved her Bachelors of Arts degree in Dance Performance from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. At Old Dominion, Stacia performed in several University Dance concerts where she also was chosen to display her own choreography and was selected as a soloist multiple times. Stacia was also the recipient of the Eva May Morris dance scholarship, as well as the Memorial and Recognition dance scholarship. Stacia has also been selected to perform nationally at the American College Dance Festival multiple times representing Old Dominion University\'s dance department. She is also a hula hoop artist with roughly four years of experience. Stacia has performed at local venues throughout Virginia several times as a hula hooper. She believes that it is not only a great form of exercise, but a powerful dance form in and of itself, and she is eager to spread her knowledge of this newly emerging trend in the dance world. Stacia is very passionate about the art of movement and wants nothing more than to share her personal twist on it with others.
