Visual Art – New Orleans

Through my grandmother’s influence, I began sewing and painting at the age of 6. As a child of the 80’s and 90’s, I transitioned from coloring books to designing my own quilt patterns, creating original artwork, and developing a love for music through the piano. During the progression of creating art and music, an exchange of ideas overflowed from one discipline to the other, each inspiring an invariable surge of artistic growth. In 2002, I began my college career as a soccer player and a music major turned graphic design student. As a sophomore, the idea of structured creativity made me begin to dislike the things I always loved, and it was then that I ended my collegiate career in art and music. In 2007, after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration, I continued on to obtain a CPA license. Though busy with the demands that came with working for a large regional public accounting firm, I found the energy to stay active artistically. Creating artwork and frames at the request of close friends helped increase the momentum to start a brand. In August 2012, I left Corporate America to pursue my passion in art & design.
