Sergio Valenzuela

Film – Nashville

From a young age Sergio Valenzuela was interested in making movies and music videos. In 2002 he directed, shot and edited his first music video for “La Media Naranja” for “Ricky Naranjo Y Los Gamblers.” In 2003 after doing a couple of music videos for the tejano record label Hacienda Records, Sergio was deployed to Iraq where he spent over a year in the desert. When he returned in 2004 he continued his film career and in November of that same year he shot the award winning short film “The Confession of Johnny Black.” Since then he has worked on several music videos movies and commercials. He is now an award winning filmmaker with several awards including a silver Telly Award for his short Documentary My Struggle and two bronze Telly Awards for his work on Southern Haunts.
