Tamwah is an eclectic singer/songwriter known for fusing various genres into beautifully uplifting melodies. Radiating out of Byron Bay, Australia, Tamwah prolifically intertwines Afro-Brazilian rhythms, Roots, Hip Hop, Soul and Jazz into a cosmic flow that produces a lasting connection with listeners. Tamwah is a singer/songwriter, beat-maker, vegan, seer, healer, star-seed and a rebel wrapped in bright playful colors, on a musical mission to tune you up to one love. 
 
 With two EP's and one LP under her belt, Tamwah continues to write new material and inspire others through her music. Born Tamara Maloney, in Melbourne, of Indigenous Australian, European, Afro Portuguese & Sinhalese parents . Tamwah grew up in a musical household. She often would sing with her dad while her mum played piano.  Encouraged by them to learn violin from 7yrs old & begin classical singing lesson from her early teens. It was only natural that Tamwah found herself beat-making & learning exotic instruments like the berimbau, cavaquinho, trumpet & crystal singing bowl to express her essence thru. Music is quintessence of her multi- ethnic linage, symbolizing femininity, love and gracefulness. 
Tamwah career was stimulated by the unfortunate passing of her late husband & MC, Shawn Williams in 2010. She knows how crucial this time is on earth for humanity to wake up! From this place of inner knowing Tamwah has worked & recorded with musicians all over the world that share an earth-conscious, social, spiritual & political awareness. From roots reggae artist Saritah, Paris LaMont (Protoje & The Indignation), MC Len Lama (I&I Tribe), Justin Atherley, Charlie Ross, MC Shawn Wills, Juninho Duvale, Zulu Flow Zion, Christian Manzuetta (AKA Brooklyn Beatz), Miss Renee Simone & MC Lez Bex. “POSTCARDS FROM BRAZIL VOL 1”(recorded between Rio de Janeiro & Byron Bay in 2012) is Tamwah’s last self released EP. This EP echo’s sunshine & Samba with the BOOM BAP of Hip Hop beats & Soulful songbird trills. Her voice is likened to the depth & rich tones of Sade. With coconut sprinkles of Multi dimensional soul-hop flavors of Erykah Badu with a zest for the natural world and samba grooves of Clara Nunes. Her newest single “Beijos” is set to be released in early Nov 2017. Her single “Beijos” is a tropical love song, with a samba reggae vibe, featuring Justin Atherley. This song is reflective of the dream-time, in on an ever-evolving colorful world where the path of beauty lights the way thru nature.
