Visual Art – Washington, D.C.

I come from a family of artists, musicians and writers, all of us influenced by my grandfather, Victor Oteyza, one of the first modern artists of the Philippines. As a native born Washingtonian, I grew up exposed to the multitude of cultures that dwell in and around this city. Art and dance have always been a part of my life, prompting my studies at the Corcoran College of Art and Design and Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts where I earned my degree in Communication Arts & Design. I have been designing publications for 15 years, three of them at Road and Track Magazine when I lived in California. Currently I freelance for many federal clients and teach an assortment of dance fitness classes, based on ballet, hip hop and Afro-Latin styles at Joy of Motion Dance Center.
