Tina Cox

My name is Tina Cox. I am a forty nine year old mosaic artist from Franklin, Indiana. I AM RAW! My mother was my first teacher. I grew up watching her construct beautiful oil paintings. It taught me how to achieve a creation from imagination through the layers of work to completion of a finished masterpiece.I have spent a great deal of my adult life poured into raising two beautiful daughters, also artist. I managed to always stay involved in my art passions by taking a class here or there.I pursued water color for a while with the South Side Art League. I had a few Saturday classes at Herron School of Art.I also took a class with Lougie at Franklin College.I continued to self educate through books. Eight years ago I was blown away by seeing Antoni Gaudi mosaics in a book at Barnes and Noble.....Thus began my love affair with mosaic art. I have read many books on mosaic techniques and have tried and sometimes failed.I continue to expand my technique. I now have the time and the passion to pursue my great love of mosaic art. I want to share the excitement and joy I feel in my creations. I always love to pass my work over to another who is going to give my art a good home.
