Music – New Orleans

Rolling out of Louisiana’s capitol city, The Easy bumps Baton Rouge hip hop, soul, and electro-brass funk from their four man front. This is music for your mind and your behind, sending waves like you’ve never heard before. Moving their presence into New Orleans and onto the road, The Easy collaborates with like-minded hip hop artists, MC’s, poets, rappers, instrumentalists, and vocalists nationwide. Recent collaborations include shows with George Porter Jr. and The Runnin Padners, Flow Tribe, Naughty Professor, Stoop Kids, Marcel P. Black, AF the Naysayer, Slangston Hughes, Luke St. John, Shoelace, JayB August, and Quiana Lynell. Massively attended events such as the Baton Rouge Blues Festival and TEDxLSU seminar have been highlights of the band’s blooming career, along with other local festivals such as Radiopalooza, Forum 35 Art Melt, Fest For All, and DIG Magazine’s INDIEcent Exposure — Battle of the Bands (taking first place). Since their 2014 self-titled album release, The Easy has dug their heels in the ground to cook up a brand new set of fresh and relevant works. These new tunes have been featured in a series of recently released music videos, and will be highly anticipated on an upcoming EP, set for the Fall of 2015. The Easy is Chris “2Stroke” Polk on Bass and Vocals, Nick Garrison on Trombone effects and Vocals, John Mann V on Vibraphone, Synthesizer, Keyboard, and Percussion, and Eli Williams on Drum Set. Stay tuned for what we’re about to drop on ya, because this is only the beginning!
