Im a Longview Washington native,the youngest of eleven children,all outdoor lovers.I seem to be the one with an obsession for wood.Part of the love for what I do is the search.Then theres the find...the wait{drying time}...then the working of the piece.With me,every piece is different.Every piece has its own story and relevance in time and by its surroundings and elevation,it all makes sense.Ive never cared for straight grained anything much,I like the twisted,curly,fiddleback, burlwood and bazaar.Natural natural natural.If you can only imagine it and have never seen one,thats what drives me.The mighty Columbia river,Riffe lake,merwin,and anywhere else that mother nature brings me a beautiful piece of art,never at first sight,Ill be.I search for the rotton souls of wood and give them a second chance at life and being appreciated and awed over.
