Tina Lee Assavedo

My full name is Christina, but I\'ve always gone by Tina Lee, I find it more playful...like my artwork. I grew up right outside of D.C, visiting the Smithsonian and Corcoran College of Art... until my parents relocated us to Florida. I studied art there for over 8 years under Figurative artist William Otremsky, with a chance to study art abroad in Italy. I have been featured in several art shows through out the Central Florida area, and honored to be named best in show in 2013 for a Fine Arts Exhibition at the Melvin Art Gallery in Lakeland, FL. I had a brief, yet thrilling time living in the heart of New Orleans last year. I was given the opportunity to work and study with many inspirational artists at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts. As a young professional I want to see my work blossom. I believe that there\'s always something new to learn, and that there\'s always room for improvement. I doubt that I will ever be fully content with the quality of my skill. I would however, love to share my knowledge and techniques with people in the future, and give back to the artist community that gave so much to me.
