Vincent J R Cienfuegos, a former member of the Arizona Artist Guild, was born in Fountain Valley, California. He has lived in many places around the United States. Vincent grew up a poor, lonely and abused child. His early experiences led him to sculpt a more pleasant world for himself through the use of his imagination and creativity. Vincent began learning art skills through a variety of opportunities during his education. He has been fortunate enough to take art classes at various colleges and to be mentored by various artists, including Joanna Griebel of Los Angeles, California. Vincent also studied for a short time under Stefan Baumann of the Juliet Art Centre in Dubuque, Iowa. Vincent studied under Antonio Pasos, Artist in Residence at PSA Art Awakenings in Phoenix, Arizona. He also took life drawing/painting with Edna Dapo of The Phoenix Center for the Arts in Phoenix, Arizona. He plans to continue expanding his art skills and education. Vincent did prefer to work in oils but has grown accustomed to using acrylics. The current works of Vincent may be be seen in galleries and businesses across the United States and in the personal collection of various admirers of his work. An internet search of his full name Vincent J.R. Cienfuegos may bring up many images too, including many of his earlier pieces. Like many artist, his work has changed over time as he developes and obtains new skills. His current work\'s are developed by a base painting with light washes of color.
