Animal House is an Australian four-piece garage rock /party blues outfit formed in early 2014. The band is comprised of four; Will, Jack, Jean-Marc and Nick. In a stunning display of reverse colonialism, the entire group left their jobs and relocated from Brisbane, Australia to Brighton, the United Kingdom. Recently, when asked why they made such an obviously ambitious move they replied,
‘It was all too fucking comfortable. We were so over sitting in offices all day, hanging out to get to play every night. We were spending our best hours doing our own versions of what we hated the most. Someone said lets go to England and play rock and roll music... it was a real no brainer, we all said… fuck yeah, let’s do that.’
The Aussies are releasing their debut track, ‘Sour’ on the 20th October, celebrating with a launch party in Brighton on the 22nd of October and a twelve-date national tour through the UK. An upbeat tune, filled with forceful hooks and crybaby lyrics, ‘Sour’ is one to rattle, and Animal House is doing just that.
