Visual Art – Nashville

The first thing is that I'm from space. My brain spends most of its time there still, but I live in Nashville, TN where I own and operate a housevenue called The Mouthhole and spend my non-day-job and non-procrastinating time making things (Visual Art, Film, Writing, Music). I have chosen the art life and all the lack of riches or comfort or certainty that comes with it. I went to art school in my home state of West Virginia for Film. But, since West Virginia does not have a Film program, and barely has art, I became enrolled in a class called "Electronic Media" which also covered Photoshop - I mastered it as much as a Jack of All Trades & Master of None can. When I moved to Nashville and founded The Mouthhole, a place to foster weirdness and creativity which seemed otherwise hard to find here, I began to make the flyers as of show #1 - I make one monthly, without fail, attempting to make each one a piece of iconic art which stands on it's own. In all my work, across all the mediums I dip into, I strive for consistency of vision - Surrealism mixed with Humor and good old lowdown Funk. Beautiful & ugly / offputting & welcoming / dark & addictive / primitive & futuristic I continue to create - seeking comissions from peope who want my specific tone - as well as producing images, writing, music and films for my own eventual world stardom. Then it will be back to space, probably, to look back at my catalog from very far away and see if it makes sense.
